Bold red living room with original Indian doors

This large apartment was renovated by architect Beata Pultorak in the style that the owners wanted: Oriental.

The first thing that strikes in the living room is the color, and that’s not only about this space, the entire apartment was decorated in more than bold shades. Bold red brick walls, red floors of exotic wood, red mango wood and upholstered furniture make you feel the East! A chandelier from Nepal and a gorgeous teak door that belonged to the representatives of a higher caste in India help to polish the look. Under the glass top of the table you’ll see an element of an Indian shutter, and the sofa was upholstered with ethno fabrics.

The dining zone is multicultural, the table is made of Indian rosewood, the chairs were upholstered with ethno fabrics and painted.

In the library the bookcase is double: it means that behind this row of books you’ll see another one. A traditional Indian desk, which is richly decorated, was finished with a cold glass top. The chair and ottoman are covered with the same fabrics as in the living room, and the lamps are indispensable for creating a mood here.

The kitchen cabinets are made of black oak, it looks more modern than the rest of the apartment but still rather Eastern-like.

The master bedroom has a strong wow factor, and that’s all due to the Persian rug hung as a canopy. The bed is covered with leather, and above the headboard you’ll see a part of an original Indian shutter, and there’s a Nepalese mandala on the wall. The furniture is done in mango and black oak wood.

The vast dressing room has lots of spacious wardrobes, which contain not only clothes but also various finds and travelling equipment of the owners.

The bathroom looks exceptional due to the Indian stone, which decorates it and a part of Indian gate from stained mango wood. The handles are made in the shape of peacocks as it’s a symbol that protects from misfortunes in India.
