BASF revealed a restyled vehicle, hosted celebrity autograph sessions and presented the latest in car color technology from their Glasurit, R-M and Carizzma Colors paint lines at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, Nov. 5 to Nov. 8 in Las Vegas.

A restyled 2013 Scion FR-S from Ryan Friedlinghaus of West Coast Customs was unveiled. The vehicle features BASF's new ONYX HD Low VOC Productive System. The new system produces low VOC basecoats that can be formulated as either waterborne or solventborne – the first system on the market to provide such options.

Designers Ryan Friedlinghaus, Chip Foose, Troy Trepanier and the Ringbrothers, plus racing legend Richard Petty, made guest appearances. Friedlinghaus attended the unveiling. He was also in the BASF booth Friday, Nov. 8 for a second autograph session.

BASF also displayed other restyled vehicles, including:

1932 Muroc "Magnatude" Roadster from Chip Foose of Foose Designs painted using Glasurit 90-Line Butterscotch Pearl with Champagne metallic;

1969 Talledega Torino GPT Special from Troy Trepanier of Rad Rides by Troy painted using Glasurit 90-Line Tennessee Whisky Gold gloss and Daytona Sand satin;

1967 Camaro from Ultimate Auto featuring Ruthless Red from Carizzma Colors.

Racing legend Richard Petty also hosted an autograph session with Foose and Trepanier as well as live online chats.
